Anxiety and mirtazapine tapering

I've been on mirtazapine for about 2 years started on 15mg then went to 30mg I just ate and slept all the time but managed to function work/daily chores etc after a while the excessive eAting and sleeping got too much so my doctor put me 45mg not long after the increase I started getting really bad anxiety felt like I was losing my mind, I dropped back down to 30mg. the anxiety has persisted. I can make it to the end of my street but then become overwhelmed and I return home. I feel a bit withdrawn from everything like something's not quite right, emotionally numb etc. want to get better but somethings still there preventing me. I've only been feeling like this for about 2-3 months, I travelled to America 5 months ago without issue I was depressed still but no anxiety, Yet now I barely leave the house.I've cut down to 15mg mirtazapine as I'm hoping it's just side effects of the meds so want to stop taking them. it's been a week since I cut down to 15mg. Sorry to ramble on but any info or similar experiences anyone could share would be appreciated or just some reassurance. Thanks .
