I’ve had anxiety my whole life, and I’ve never found an efficient way to tell my anxiety that I’m taking back my life and to hop off my shoulders because I’m tired of it. Recently I’ve found that when I feel myself going into a panic attack or anxiety attack is to remind myself - girl stop worrying, everything’s gonna be okay. Breathe and smell the roses. You’ve been through this many times before and you’ll get through it many times after. I doubt it works for everyone but it helps me. And it helps to have an anchor. Someone who feels like home, can distract you, and just makes you feel overall safe. Typically someone who you can talk freely about your anxiety.

You are absolutely right DoggieLoverbon. If you are fortunate enough to have that
person who totally understands and supports you, then you are blessed. Many of
us have no one but ourselves but we can still get our lives back.
In accepting anxiety as a thought and nothing more, that is a start in reversing the
negative and putting in it's place the positive. Anxiety can be a bully once it takes
hold but talking out loud to it can make it back off. For real
My therapist once told me that by hearing our own voice tell anxiety this is our life
and for it to leave you alone, breaks the negative thought and fear and calms us down.
It works. You are definitely on the right path my friend. Keep moving forward.
You've got this xx
yes I agree doggieloverbon. you are right. telling yourself positive reinforcement is a big key. also to have someone to vent to and openly discuss things. I have found that drinking water and writing a journal helps. along with doing things you like to do. Hugs of encouragement and support.
