Nausea advices?

Anxiety gives me constant nausea and I am always on the edge of being sick and I am trying to resist. Anyone suffering from nausea caused by anxiety that overcame this terrible sensation? I know some people literally vomit and I don’t want to get this way.

Moon_B,

I have this as well. I also have acid-reflux & GERD, and anxiety makes it much, much worse. Last couple years, grief made the nausea awful, and constant.

It’s your body sending a signal that something is wrong. And it is...you have anxiety. You can read a lot about the fight or flight responses that anxiety can cause.

Some months ago I read about putting a tin of those small white, peppermints (the tiny tiny ones) Altoids, by the bed, and putting one to melt on your tongue whenever the nausea starts. Bought one for my dad too.

Worked like a charm for me...along with paying close attention to what triggers the nausea. I’m learning to control it much better now.

For me specific thoughts (grief) can just well up my insides. So when it starts...I tell myself I’ve had enough, and no more today! and then move on to something else.

I started the mints well before it occurred to me to try and control the nausea with my brain, so the mints def worked for me first. Try it. Hope you feel better soon. 🍄🌸🌞

I have been dealing with nausea for 4 yrs. now along with over whelming Fear. They even tried meds they use on chemotherapy patients to fight nausea.....did nothing for me. Gin Gin candies made with real ginger sometimes settles it a bit. I have had no help with things like ginger ale, apple sauce, gravol. I'm taking the prescription med stemetil right now. I hope you find something

I get nausea as well or I should say I rarely get it anymore. I use Dramamine as needed and as time went by I took it everyday for several weeks. Then it went to a few times a week now a few times a month. Anxiety is cruel as it manifest itself in may different symptoms. So once you get one symptom past another one will start , at least that’s how it worked for me for more the 30 years. Best wishes John
