Hi Corina93, I think we are all like that. We want so much to feel relief

but are so afraid of trying something new. Start slowly. If we don't give

it a try we may never know the joy of feeling so much better. :) xx

Dearest Corina, you speak very well. Most of all I understand

the fear. It's a part of our anxiety putting those doubts in our mind.

What I usually do when starting a new medication is to wait until

someone is home with me. Write down the name of the med, the dosage

and the time you took it. After you take it, go on with your day. Keep busy

in your home, don't sit and wait and watch for a negative response. Most

people do not have a problem. Trust your doctor, do not read the pamphlet

enclosed or listen to other's responses on the drug. Believe in that the

medication will take you one step further in feeling better. Give the medication

time. Always keep in touch with your doctor regarding any meds you are on.

I wish you well Corina. It's going to be okay. I care :) xx

Ohhh thank you so much for ur replay, i m most of the time just by myself so that s a thing and i am thinking even if i have someone i may die till hospital (lol) i live 9 minutes far from the hospital , anxiety is playing so hard with my mind i can t even concentrate to do what s good for me (taking the pills) and struggling everyday without any medicine :(

Corina93, I'm also 9 minutes from the hospital. Funny how we know

the exact time it takes to get there. :)

Having a phone number of a neighbor or family member who can check on

you might make you feel more assured. The chances of something happening

are small. By not taking anything the symptoms continue to rob you of your

life. Trust in your doctor and believe that it will be okay. You need medication

right now. Let us know when you decide the time is right for you to take that

step forward. :) xx

Just take them, it’s a small dose I take 50mg twice a day and have no anxiety anymore, and no side effects

I want to take them just that i m scared to death about the allergic reaction , and that i may have one (even i never had, i m not allergic to anything) but the anxiety is playing me really hard

Hi Vectron. Just seen your reply to Corina post re Pregabalin. My doctor has suggested it along with Escitalopram to help with my anxiety. I looked up the list of side effect which was a bad idea! At the moment my anxiety is really bad, it’s that constant ruminating that’s driving me nuts. I also wake up every morning with nausea, headaches and a tingling feeling in my arms and leg. I’m sure that’s anxiety and not the side effect from the Escitalopram. Did you really find Pregabalin a help and roughly how long did it take to work? Would be great to hear from you x

I hate taking any meds for Anxiety as I am a fitness freak! But I take 50mg twice a day with 10mg of Lexepro Pregabalin has been a life saver NO side effects just calm and a feeling for life again.

My gp gaved me diazepam (valium) , i take it one before sleep that i can manage to sleep a couple of hours . They wouldn’t prescribe anything else, that s why i m so frustrated , i used to take xanax before when i felt a panic attack was coming and i was feeling perfect , but they don t prescribe it in uk.

I have been on it for seven years for OCD with an anti-depressant called Escitalopram but I had to come off pregabalin last Christmas because it had so many side effects that I had never had with just the SSRI's alone. In other words I started on 75mg twice a day for a fortnight then the OCD specialist increased it to double that twice day, if I had have just stayed on 300mg or less that would have been ok but no they increaes it to 400mg daily which I think I will send you a private message what they were just because they are a bit personal so don't want to publicise them if thats ok with you.

Not what you're looking for?
