Periods

Does any ladies get irregular periods? Late periods? With their anxiety. Mine is 6 days late. I've ruled out pregnancy. Spoke to a doctor and he said it could just be a blip. I'm usually irregular anyone. But I hate being late and having all the symptoms of a period but no bleeding. Would be nice to hear any similar stories

I’ve been super anxious lately and just started fluoxetine. This past period was weird for me. Extra heavy and lasted longer than usual. I’m also 40, so I’m not sure if it’s hormonal, stress or what.

I noticed at 40 that my periods had become irregular for the past few months so went to the doctor. He did a simple blood test and told me I was pre-menopausal and I started the change at 42 x

My irregular periods started at 36. I'm 39 now and currently only have a period every 40 to 50 days which is great, but when they come, it's so heavy that I literally have to wear adult diapers and sit and sleep on towels all day and all night until it stops. Occasionally, I'll have bleeding that lasts almost a month. It's horrible because I become weak and anemic which triggers anxiety. In the last 6 months I've also began getting hot flashes. Blood tests showed perimenopause. If this is just the beginning, I can't imagine what full blown menopause is going to be like. I wish my health coverage would pay for uterine ablation though.
