I really wish that my brain would stop obsessing over my fear of things that like could or couldn’t happen no one knows. Like I can’t keep stressing about the future or past events. How do I stop this?

Stupid Brain
You have to retrain your brain. For instance, if you don't want to think about dogs, but they are always on your mind....as soon as you notice change your thoughts to cats. Now ,you know you are going to go back to thinking of dogs , so you have to keep changing to cats. You will have to do this over and over endlessly until you no longer think of dogs. In the same way if you are having negative thoughts change to something positive as soon as you notice. It sounds simple, but it is not. You become aware, mindful, of what you are doing or thinking. It is a way for you to take control. Pam
It's called, "Think about what you are thinking about and decide to make a change". Thoughts are a choice. Simply letting random thoughts, come up and then invade our thinking and cause us to obsess over why/what/how we are thinking, can be changed. I used to have struggles in this area, coming from a background of being abused, but then I read a transformational book called, The Battlefield of the Mind, by Joyce Meyer. Truly changed my life. It's about taking charge of your daily thought life and choosing to think on other things. Additionally, the Bible tells us to keep our thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. I call it, choosing life, instead of death daily. The power of life are in our thoughts and words we speak. Link to the book here: amzn.to/2kql3QG
