Why are you bed bound? This is not a good way to live. Are you seeing a psychiatrist? If not you should see one as soon as possible. In addition, you should begin therapy as soon as possible. Psychiatric treatment is far from perfect, but I believe that in your situation it will be of great benefit.

Are you that good looking boy in your picture profile?

When you spend a lot of time in bed, your muscles grow weaker, and stiffer. Then when you get up and try to walk, it feels as if there is a problem. In reality, all you need to do is start an exercise routine , with stretches.

It seems to me that you need to find a way to take your mind off of your health. Exercising releases feel-good hormones. What sorts of things might interest you?

Therapy could help you in resolving why you are so focused on being sickly. Why don't you give it a try, and let us know how it worked out for you. Okay?

does this not sound like a brain tumour?

Actually dizziness isn't a symptom of a brain tumour that I am aware of. I decided that I would stay in bed when my health anxiety kicked off, I couldn't hold my head up and I had unexplained pains. When my Dr told me it was down to anxiety I thought he was mental, these feelings are real so how the hell could my mind make them up? But I have found now that the more notice I pay to these feelings the worse it is. I can literally make myself have heart attack symptoms. My fears are heart attack, stroke and another bleed on my brain (had one from a car accident) so I find that I get a lot of these symptoms and at first I think oh #*@+ it's happening but then I try to rationalise it all and remember that it is my nerves. For example as I am typing this I have got pain in my left arm and a tight chest, I've also got a headache and pins and needles. Sadly our brains send out these feelings because it is used to our bodies working a certain way and so it thinks it is needed so it will make us have these feelings so that it believes it is working correctly. I think the first thing you need to do is take baby steps but do get out of bed. At first just make a cup of tea, then go to the front door and so on and so forth. I'm not cured yet, in fact I've posted myself for help today but I honestly believe that you are having these feelings due to anxiety. Hugs xx

Have you seen a doctor about this?
