Hi all, lately I’ve been experiencing early morning anxiety. I’ll wake up 1-2 hours before I need to for no reason. Be wide awake. This morning I feel tightness in my chest. Trying to be calm and control my breathing. I’ve had a pretty stressful week with spousal issues so I don’t know if that is related. I just wish this would all stop. I’m so tired and need my sleep in order to deal with my 4 kids. I’ve had numerous EKGs and they’ve all come back normal but there’s still that thought of maybe this time it’s real. Anyone else get this tightness in your chest? Almost like someone is sitting on you?

It can’t be reiterated enough that morning anxiety is the worst! I woke up every day TERRIFIED. Racing heartbeat. Chest tightness. Panicking thoughts. Did I mention TERROR? Then once I could get out of bed and calm myself down I’d get depressed and end up in bed again. It was torture until the therapy and meds started to work. Hang in there and keep posting.
