On Sat Aug 3 I ate breakfast as normal, and then for lunch I had an Italian Soda and PB & Banana sandwich ... I did not ingest anything out of the ordinary that I'm aware of... But when I went to a gas station after my lunch my body started to feel almost euphoric. I then made another stop but it was almost too much for me to handle and I just wanted to get home. The drive home felt like forever, and I felt almost paranoid the entire time. When I got home I just wanted to sleep, but it was in and out of consciousness. I didn't know what was going on and kept asking my husband what was in my sandwich, I couldn't explain what was happening to me. I could barely function, just to stand up I felt drunk and like I was going to fall over. And this morning I still felt slightly stoned/groggy. Someone please give some insight as to what the F is going on... I don't think I was drugged.
Hi I am not sure what PB means (I am in the UK) but my first thought was that if that was all you had eaten then maybe it was hunger or dropping your blood sugar too low which is making you feel like this? I hope you feel better soon. x
Its peanut butter... and I just updated the post to specify that I had eaten breakfast... sorry about that, I was only displaying what I ate at lunch as I didnt think breakfast played into any of this... however, it took 24 hours for me to feel "normal"
I appreciate your input, and someone else had mentioned blood sugar... so I started digging and this is what I discovered for myself, so problem solved
1. I am not diabetic, but was suffering symptoms of hypoglycemia.
2. I ate a banana at lunch and the issue occured shortly after ingestion so I discovered bananas are maligned because they're believed to have high glycemic index (GI), causing your blood sugar and insulin to spike quickly after eating one.
