Can vomiting cause jaw pain?

I vomited earlier today and now my jaw is sore, especially when I open it wide. Could vomiting cause the pain?

I suppose it could, because you've strained those muscles. My jaw once hurt for days after letting out a really big yawn one morning. I could not believe the pain! If your only symptom is jaw pain I would relax and wait a couple days to see if it subsides (think of muscle soreness after a workout, it hurts the next day and gets worse the second day before it gets better).
