Personally, my anxiety causes me to feel depressed. If I wasn’t anxious I wouldn’t feel this depressed. It’s a vicious circle.

I’ve always said I don’t suffer from depression - I suffer from anxiety which makes me depressed. I hope you’re ok.

This is the same with my IBS and anxiety.

My ibs normally triggers anxiety but my anxiety can also trigger my ibs so it’s crazy

Since I stopped having anxiety I haven't had any ibs, so I reckon it is anxiety that triggers the ibs and not the other way around.

Yh that’s my philosophy, but how do you stop having anxiety 🤣 ugh I’m dying

Go do things you enjoy, go learn new things, have adventures, don't sit still, make your mind think differently.

Mines more stress related I can eat spicy and greasy and be fine but 9/10 plain I take mebeverine and Imodium for it and promethazine and propranolol for anxiety as well as CBD oil (0 thc and 100 mg) which I will be upping to 300 mg

Other then that therapy, diary other self help techniques.

Does the CBD oil help?

So it's stress related, what do you do to relax?

The 100 mg has a little difference but I feel a higher dose would be more benifitial and stay at home heat packs and watch tv

Have you ever considered exercise for stress relief?

IBS_Problems profile image
IBS_Problems in reply to

Yes tried but I find it so boring thing like walking and yoga I do Muay Thai but that aggressive as so it’s not relaxing

in reply toIBS_Problems

The thing is, if you do very physical exercise it helps to relieve stress, it's like taking your stress out on something, releasing it all.but If you have already tried stuff then maybe it's not for you. Does this place help you at all?

The website? Yes defo it’s people who reply very quickly and have a lot of suggestions sometimes ones I’ve never even thought of. People on here help by giving reassurance

IBS_Problems in reply to

Nah I’m very bad at drawing haha and nah not really I love story based games last of us, red dead etc

in reply toIBS_Problems

Don't all artists say they are bad at drawing but they are actually good at it? 😂

I don't really know the games these days, I used to play Delta force Xtreme a lot. You prob don't know it.

Nah don’t know that one but this person is defo bad at art 🤣 I’m more of an abstract kinda person so all my art looks weird

in reply toIBS_Problems

I be you are good 😁. pity you couldn't show us some, abstract is very interesting.. I draw portraits mainly but would like to try other stuff.

IBS_Problems profile image
IBS_Problems in reply to

I’m terrible at portraits can never get the proportions right

in reply toIBS_Problems

I used to draw a lot but only began again about two weeks ago after not doing it for a few years, I'm having problems with the proportions too, but I'll get good again with practice I'm sure.

Maybe I should try abstract where I don't need to worry about the proportions 😂

Yes that’s true honestly it’s like dodgy shapes and I have to explain it to everyone it’s like my own secret language 🤣

in reply toIBS_Problems

I couldn't think of what to draw the other day so I did some dodgy shapes and coloured them in 😂 like squiggles, you know?

This language of yours, can anyone learn it 😁

Back soon, I have cleaning to do 😶

in reply toIBS_Problems

Ps.. I hate doing the cleaning. 😕

Exactly which one? 🤷‍♀️

Stress and anxiety, I always thought they where two different things.

But I could be wrong.

My understanding is, that stress is external and anxiety is internal - the body's response to stress. Cause and effect.
