Palpitations, fast beat, abnormal rythm

I've had episodes of my heart racing up to 150 after a thud or out of nowhere. Sometimea when I sit it will quickly slow down. Others if I sit it goes up and down. Once it was at 150 and then 2 slow beats then fast again. Had ecgs done and said normal with some Palps and tachycardia...has anyone experienced this??? It's scaring me. Please help

Yes I have experienced this. I still worry about my heart now even after having all the tests as I’ve felt fine and my heart just starts racing out of no where then slows down out of nowhere. I must think my body is telling me I’m stressed or something triggered the nervous system.

Thank you soo much Kelly for the reply. I swear things get so nerve wrecking it's hard to believe it's just nerves or anxiety. Always a concern it's something more. This forum has been a blessing for me. Don't have to go through this alone

so sorry to hear that, Minnie. At least you get checked again. Are you on permanent meds for the tachycardia?

Hey!im not no but I think going back on to propranolol which I found really effective.

I have a nasty infection which has made my heart rate beat so fast for hours.luckily antibiotics and other drugs have helped to bring it down.

My ecgs were all absolutely fine expect the tachycardia so that’s good.

How are you today?

in reply to Minnie87

I m so glad the ecg s are fine. Wishing you speedy recovery from your infection. Xx I m very unwell right now, it s 7.30 am here, am up since midnight with anxiety and the permanent urge to cry, cry and cry... Whenever I ve had a few good days, it comes back and hits me from all angles. I m tired of it. But tomorrow might be better. I m usually worse over weekends :no GP open, next hospital 40 mins away... deepest countryside :(

Hiya!

I’m still really suffering with my symptoms.my ecgs in hospital just showed up tachycardia and nothing else.so I think they are putting it down to anxiety.the second time I was in it was because I was tachy again due to a temperature and tonsillitis.

Everyday I feel on edge, depressed,so anxious I can barely move and constant symptoms.

I miss me and I miss life.how are you doing?how are your symptoms now? X

I know exactly how you feel. Miss normal life. I'm doing ok. It's always a few days OK and then a setback day. I'm just tryna ride it out and be hopeful. This anxiety is a real beast to contend with.

My mornings is when I feel the depression the most....its like my happiness meter s struggling to move up but just can't. It's tough...but after difficulty their is ease...i believe that

in reply to Minnie87

Hi Minnie, well, today was better but as you and others say: whenever you re happy to be feeling a wee bit better... boom, it comes back:more severe, changed, with different symptoms and at different times. We never know. They say the first step is acceptance. But nobody tells us How to learn to accept that we suffer from anxiety And somehow I don t want to accept it. I haven t been like that. I too want my life back... my ordinary sometimes boring life. Sounds familiar? lol. Hope you dre doing well. I ve been to hospital so often. Always tachycardia.... and the then the sentence I really hate: your ecg s are fine. It is Just your anxiety :( Anyway, I wish you a speedy recovery from your infection... xx
