What is the longest a heart attack can go on for? Mine has now been going on for 2.5 years. Impressive right. Dodgy breathing and a throbbing left hand are today’s symptoms. Like my left hand and even my arm are so numb now it’s getting ridiculous.

Hi Sandy,
You already said the answer in your first few opening lines....a heart attack does not go on for years. As soon as you get the thought that every tingling, pain, numbness or any other sensation is nothing more than your body’s response to the nervousness you have regarding your health, the symptoms will begin to lessen and then disappear. Good luck, take things one moment at a time and try not to do the what ifs and convincing yourself that its a heart attack.
Hi, I just came on here and did a search and found your post. I have exactly the same at the moment. I've been having a stressful time recently and been under the weather with a cold that everyone in my family currently has. As always my health anxiety flares up with things like this even though I know it's a normal cold. Now because I'm stressing my left arm is numb and tingly and feels all weak and I'm getting dizzy spells. I went away on a nice relaxing weekend with my mum this weekend and hardly noticed it yesterday. Today as soon as we started talking about coming home its started up again. Now I'm running around like a crazy person after the 2 kids and trying to tidy the house it's really bad. I know I need to relax to see if it goes away but I cant. It's amazing how many people I've seen posting about anxiety and left arm and dizziness symptoms. At least I'm not alone but I'm sorry to here your also having these problems. Have you seen any improvement since posting? X
