I have been on Setraline 25 mg for approximately 2 weeks and I am exhausted! What can I do to get my energy back? I take it in the evening around 6pm. I just seem to have lack of focus and all I can think about is how tired I am. Please help...thank you all for your responses.😊

You start your dose at 7 am? Does that help you? I take mine in the evening around 6 pm. I hope it starts to kick in soon, in a few weeks. If it doesn't, I am going to see if I can be weaned off of it. I want to feel like my normal self again very soon.☺ Thank you for ypur response.

Talk to the doc that gave it to you and see what they say about it.

I will talk to him hopefully tomorrow. I hate feeling fatigued all morning and going into the afternoon. I did take a triple magnesium supplement a couple of hours after taking the Sertraline. And magnesium is supposed to be calming. Idk if that made the Sertraline have a more drowsy effect on me. My Dr. told me it was okay to take the magnesium supplement. Thank you for your response.😊

Hi I’ve been on them since September but weaning off now as I’ve never settled on them just completely wiped all of the time!

Hi there MizGreen,

The first few weeks of taking your Sertraline you are going to feel some lethargy and aches as your body becomes used to the dosage. I have been taking the meds at 150mg for a couple of years now but at the start it was difficult to function for a couple of weeks before it settles down. As people above have suggested, take the meds in the morning, Through trial and error I found this to be the best time.

Trust me, it does get much better. If you need to chat, drop me a message.
