Well with all the feelings that I’m going to die soon , I keep having nightmares about me dying .. 😭 it’s been 3 months . I’m beginning to wonder if I’m really going to die or if I’m ever going to get better

I also have a fear of dying, but I don’t get any nightmares. Maybe because I don’t think of it as much .Sometimes I accept the feelings and move on. It can be your mind taking over you. You need to control your mind before it controls you so you should try talking to someone about it and always try to think about positive thoughts

I have nobody to talk to . I try to think positive thoughts but my mind always goes back to the same place because I feel like I’m lying to myself

Anon, let me ask you, do you live with your parents, spouse friends? Are you in school, if so what level? Are you in the US or the UK?

I live with my mother and my boyfriend , Im graduated and live in US . I feel I will just scare them if I tell them my thoughts . People in my small town are very superstitious and it only makes me feel worse about things . I want hard facts if that makes any sense at all

IT makes sense.

Good communication takes careful thoughtful presentation of your material.

We cant just blurt what we FEEL.

We take stock of what our thoughts are and think about how to present them so that we can get our idea across in order for us to have a meaningful conversation. ( with anybody)

IF I were teaching a student how to do a surgical procedure I would be very careful with what words I used and in what order and the tone of my voice BECAUSE, the patients life is at stake, the student's education is at stake, and my reputation as a teacher is at stake. I need to be very clear and accurate. ( do you follow me?)

SO you control the conversation by carefully thinking about How & what you want to talk about.

There is a work sheet on Byron Katie's web site that asks you questions about what you are thinking.

for now, Byron Katie's ( ask your neighbor ) work sheet might just be a tool to help you get it all straight in your mind so you can talk to your mother and boyfriend.

SO SORRY to be so long winded on this topic...............IT's a topic very close to my heart as you can read!

There is no point in fearing the inevitable, harsh but true.i fear it but its irrational and your mind needs to think about other things, you are wasting life thinking about it
