Wellbutrin UK

I’m currently taking Fluoxetine, I’m experiencing weight gain because of it, therefore I’d like to try something else. I’ve read that Wellbutrin doesn’t have the same weight gain side effects as SSRIs. My doctor won’t prescribe it as they are not a psychiatrist. I was wondering if anyone from the UK has been prescribed Wellbutrin (not to stop smoking) and if so who prescribed it.

They give you that to stop smoking but it's called Bupropion or Zyban.

I know what it’s called and I also know it’s used for smoking cessation. Thanks for your response but that was not my question. I’m referring to the off label usage which I won’t go into detail about.

Hi I've been trying to get wellbutrin for ages it's wonder drug in USA but here no chance

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have been referred to a psychiatrist so maybe I’ll have some luck there getting it.

Good luck with wait I was on list 2 years 5 months finally got thru to Dr Mason told me another 2 years then I lost it depression suicide divorse jobless the lot went on in my mind but with all my kicking the doctors I'm going early Jan I want to try ritalin but not stay on it bur would prefer welbutrin as on ssri at mo calmed me down but like emty shell and to forgetful let me know how you get on its nice to chat to UK people cheers john
