Anyone feel constantly lightheaded/dizzy everyday all day weak jelly legs spaced out foggy feeling feels like you have to concentrate on walking straight or you feel like your swaying to the left or right can’t stand for long periods without feeling like your falling or about to faint...... I’ve had every test out there and they say it’s all anxiety fiveeeeee fucking years of this and it’s just anxiety ????

Happy to say Ashley1489, that it is Anxiety and not a death sentence. I went through what you are experiencing more than 5 years. A team of doctors from different specialties, multiple tests, years of therapy, medication and it kept boiling down to anxiety. To save face, I stopped going to doctors for a while and did some research on my own. Hmmm maybe they were right after all. I can't really remember when the lightheadedness, jelly legs and swaying as I walked stopped. But it did eventually stop Ashley. I think it might have been when I started to accept the diagnosis I was given and stopped fighting it and allowing it to make me so scared each day.

Through acceptance, deep breathing and quieting my mind and body with meditation, I am able to leave those symptoms behind me. Not that it doesn't make itself know from time to time, but I'm much better in ridding myself of the feeling and going on with the day. When you're standing (say in a line) rock back and forth. Moving your muscles uses up that extra adrenaline in your body. Deep breathing and hydrating during the day can reduce the spacey feeling in your head. Make sure you have some "me time" everyday to relax and tune out the world for 10 minutes or so. Our minds and our bodies need this respite. The jelly legs will go away when you stop tensing them to keep your balance because of what you fear.

We learn through our experiences in life. It's not an overnight success because it's taken time to get where you're at right now (5 years) Take it day by day, step by step, at least you will be going forward and no longer be stuck. My best Ashley. xx

Anyone who suffers from anxiety will experience these symptoms without a doubt. It don’t matter your status, looks, or wealth at all because anxiety doesn’t give a rats ***! It doesn’t care if your life is in the gutters already or if you’re doing good if you have anxiety it’s going to do what it wants. Anxiety can be controlled to a certain degree depending on your situation, but as far as I know at least for me it’s always in the back of my mind waiting to strike me when I least expect it:( it’s also true that by resisting it or fighting it anxiety becomes stronger, if I have one good advice to give to you it would be to just sit with it because through my experience as embarrassing as the symptoms are when I accept it somehow it goes away faster. The thing that sucks a lot though is that anxiety is extremely persistent and that’s the hard part. Our mind and body is like a damn video recorder..... everytime anything negative or an embarrassing event happens to any of us our hippocampus makes sure to restore them for future reference, thus perpetuating and refueling our anxiety further:( we avoid and avoid what we fear will cause us embarrassment and discomfort until our world is in total darkness and that is what anxiety does. Prayers to you and best of luck!

Yes. When my anxiety was at it’s worst, I was constantly in a mind foggy state. It was awful. But it does get better as the anxiety decreases.

Hi Ashley I am sorry to hear y feeling this way but yes I have had the same feelings for over 8 years now. It is scary to say the least and the feeling is so difficult to describe to Drs who will think just think I’m a hypochondriac. I’ve had a load of tests done and took myself to hospital last week it got so bad. It’s just awful because u just want to wake up feeling fresh but instead it’s the awful feeling of being here but not at the same time. The Drs always say it’s anxiety with me but I’m not convinced. Your honestly not alone I hope you get sorted soon and if u do please let me know what the outcome was I’ve started to keep a diary on good days terrible days foods I eat anything to see if there’s a trigger. Take care and I do hope they find what’s wrong x

My symptoms are kind of like I'm walking on a trampoline like when I take steps it feels like I'm bouncing its very unsettling. Also when I stand in the same spot for to long I get a split instant of lightheadedness. Also among many other symptoms.

Same here! What is it did you find out?

I’ve always suffered from anxiety since I was 15. Im now 27. Ive handled my anxiety for years now bit this past couple of weeks it has cripped me! Suddenly felt off balance and like I couldnt control my legs a couple of weeks ago which has caused me so much stress and worry. I run my own business and have 2 young kids which i think all got a bit much for me. Although I didnt feel anymore stressed than usual it must have been building for a long time and then bang out of nowhere my anxiety has just floored me. Ive not been in control of it at all. Been at the doctors who agreed to send me for a CT scan but I was still crying incontrollably every second thinking im seriously ill. If it wasnt for my partner being bu my side every second drumming it jnto my head that its anxiety I dont know how bad it would have got. The past 2 weeks have been one of the toughest times of my life but a few days ago I actually had to give myself a shake and force myself to think it COULD be anxiety. I had googled jelly legs and off balance a million times trying to relate it to anxiety and found a good reassuring list of anxiety symptoms that really explain what I might have been feeling lately. This is the link anxietycentre.com/anxiety-s...

After reading this I could understand why my body might be acting this way and really said to myself well it really could jist be anxiety. I started doing meditations and breathing exercises using youtube about 4 days ago and I honestly feel so much better. Forced myself to face soft play with my kids while every step i took I felt like i was sinking into the ground or like on a boat or something. Everything was just moving up and down with me every time i walked - felt like i was going to fall. Its not Vertigo as when im still and move my head its not like the room is moving. Ive had that before and this is different. But anyway somehow I managed to change my thoughts and I cant actually believe how its made me feel like i can fe and control my legs again. If you go to the link and read about what the stress horomes do and how they release adrenaline rapidly and keep your in the constant fight or flight mode then it starts to make sense. I have also told all my work clients I need 2 weeks off whilst my partner arranged staff to cover my workload.. not being at work or dealing with my business jas probably reduced my stress a good chunk! After reading about the state my body could be in i realized I had to make changes to reduce stress so I started with work. I didnt care about losing clients my health is more important. My kids have saw me crying for weeks now and I think it has really scared them too because they are used to a strong, tough mummy. I need to focus on getting back to that and I will do anything I need to do. Still last night we were at Ikea and walking up the stairs I felt like my legs wouldnt carry me properly - after that I had muscle aches but i think I had a sense of dread even going in the first place which might have gave me the jelly legs again! I still have it slightly but i feel like im getting better. Try and tell yourself its anxiety before anything else and go into panic mode. Hope this can help someone. X
