Just an update.

Hey everyone. Just dropping in after a long time to see how you all are doing and share my anxiety journey. I have always tried to be as supportive as I could to anyone I thought I could help here. Even when it felt hypocritical because my life was circling the toilet. My hope being I could impact someone positively and maybe aide them on their journey. I don’t come here as much as I should or would like to. Unfortunately I’m not at a stage in my recovery where I’m comfortable reading all of the I’m dying, sick, etc, etc, posts. That’s not a judgement just a decision I made for myself. At the end of the day I’m also on a journey to live a happy and healthy life, anxiety and all. The last 6 months have been better. I’ve been getting out more and living a more active life. I decided to try the next step and go on a mini vacay. Just a couple hours away. Everything went well until the last night. I got a panic attack just as bad as they used to be. I worked through it and It did pass. It’s just more of a motivational failure for me. Since then I’ve been a little more aware of things, feelings, etc. kind of feeling like I’m back at square one. I have made sure to get up and go out. Even with the feelings. Went to Costco, cleaned, made dinner. I’m trying to keep the momentum movimg forward. Just wanted to share that it does get better. To anyone suffering it will get better if you work the steps. Setbacks happen but how you respond to them makes the difference between success, and defeat. I’m here for all of you.

Hi Christory, I was wondering how you've been doing. Sounds like you have it all together and know what to do if and when it happens but meantime, you are not going to let anxiety dominate your life anymore. Good for you. As you said in a previous post, it may not go away completely and it is like having a second job in dealing with it but it can be done. No longer are we stuck in one place. There's a life out there to be lived and by golly, we're going to try our best to enjoy it. Good to hear from you. :)

Hey, I bet you were thinking in the back of your mind or should I say fearing you'd have an anxiety attack while away ? Probably building up to going too. Try not to be so all or nothing. It was out of your comfort zone so you are going to get a bit jittery. You went didn't you !! You came, you conquered !! That's the main thing, you did it !!. So you had an anxiety attack, big deal. You overcame it didn't you? Just like your others, you'll over come this too !. Forget all about it now and be happy you did it anyway. Up and onwards buddy, keep it going.
