Heart problems re post

I keep panicking about heart problems ... I keep feeling this blocked clogged feeling in my heart down my throat and into my chest, I don’t understand why.

Should I get my heart tested? Anyone relate to this feeling ??

Hi catlover901, since we are not doctors, it's always wise to have your doctor check for any physical issues causing this feeling. At 23 years old, the chances of you having clogged arteries is pretty slim. The other thing is that you cannot feel a blocked/clogged feeling in your heart, down your throat and into your chest. What you are more likely feeling is anxiety caused tension in your throat and chest wall muscles.

Get the clearance from your doctor. It will reassure you that you are fine and shouldn't worry. xx

I’m not an expert but understand the symptoms of heart disease aren’t usually felt in the heart. If you are concerned, my advice would be to seek medical advice. If all results are clear, then take that on board and move on. If the symptoms are anxiety related (you are on a forum for anxiety sufferers 🤔) the pain you are feeling is likely to be caused by physical tension in the chest muscles by trying to maintain a grip on things and will probably persist until you learn to let go of your grip on anxiety.

Hey... you sound just like me and I went for all the testing just for everything to come back perfectly fine ..... it's hard to adjust to anxiety... it's always smart to go get checked if u feel u need to but just try and remember to breathe and tell yourself that you are ok much luck
