Anxiety and hormones

I am new to this so bare with me. I have noticed the past 2 months that my anxiety bothers me alot when my period starts and was wondering could it be hormones setting off my anxiety.

Morning! Yes, I have the same problem. I am prone to anxieties but they increase significantly when I am pmsing. I’ve never investigated it (not sure if I can tbh) but once my period is finished I feel a lot better and calmer. So I just take it as it is and it helps to know it will ease down once they’re finished. X

I experience the same thing! I’m on birth control but notice during the days leading up to my period and days after my period, I get very emotional and sensitive to little things. My anxiety feels more magnified and I sometimes break down. All other times, I don’t feel as bad, so I definitely feel like hormone changes are the culprit.

I'm goint have a talk with my doctor and what he recommeds. It maybe premenapause starting. I'm 47 so that may set off my anxiety. I'm a libra, libras have to have everything balanced. I am always worrying. It helps to know I'm not alone.
