Rough morning

I was getting ready for work this morning as usual. That stupid queasy knotty feeling started again in the pit of my stomach that went a split second into my back. Within a split second I was like "what's that?! knowing it's the same thing I've been dealing with for weeks. It threw me into a mini anxiety attack as I was just leaving for work. Both endoscopy and colonoscopy came back clean other than reflux/GERD which I already knew about. So why do these sensations keep happening? I have such a hard time writing it off to anxiety.

Lovemybear, to rephrase your last two sentences: these sensations keep happening because you're having such a hard time writing it off to anxiety. Remember that you've chosen to make this post on the Anxiety Support forum not the Gastrology Forum. That choice may be significant.

Claire Weekes' four imperitives for recovery from the physical symptoms of anxiety are: Face, Accept, Float and Let time pass.

Until we Face the fact that we are experiencing anxiety we cannot move forward to the next stage on the road to recovery.

Weekes famously said that the stomach is the organ most sympathetic to anxiety. We should never underestimate the versatility of anxiety in expressing itself.

Hiya, sorry to hear about your problems. I agree with Jeff1943, they all sound like classic anxiety/stress related issues. Having said that, considering whether you can improve your diet, eat more healthily and make other beneficial lifestyle changes can only help too. Take care,

I could have written what you said in your post...exactly!!

I have those weird feelings, and they come on at the most inappropriate times and yes, scare me....it's crazy how it just starts. I have to sit down for a few minutes and let it pass...it's horrible, it's scary, but it's ok, and I believe it's anxiety. I've told the doc these symptoms and they look at me baffled.

But as Jeff says, the stomach is very susceptible to all our fears and worries.
