I'm on 40g of Citalopram a day and for the last year or so have been taking it in the morning, trying to do so at 10.30am, but sometimes as late as 1pm.
Sunday, I went out with my dad in the morning and I'm pretty sure I forgot to take it, as it wasn't my normal morning routine. I only thought about it again about two hours ago (about midnight) and since it was more that twelve hours after I would have taken it, I took my usual dose as I was really worried about my anxiety going through the roof. Except now I'm worried in case I did take it and that would be an overdose...
Has anyone been in this situation and can give me some advice?

I've done that before myself. I've spoken with the pharmacist about it too many times to count. They've always told me that if you think you've taken a double dose, just don't take it the following day and then resume your normal schedule.
Since my memory sucks, even on a good day, I bought myself one of those pill dispensers with the days of the week labeled on it and place my antidepressant in it each week. It really helps and no more double doses for me!
Just call your local pharmacy and double check with them, but as I said above, I've always been fine and found a good way for me to deal with the problem. I hope it works for you as well.
