Heavy bubble like feeling flowninf down my chest

Hi everyone, I’ve been really worried about my health lately . I’ve been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder for almost 2 years and I’ve been taking Cymbalta 60mg and Xanax .5 mg. Ever since I’ve been feeling this really weird bubble or air that moves down or up my chest (I don’t really know how else to describe it) and I’ve noticed I get this feeling mostly when Im sitting and I bend forwards. Otherwise I get it randomly when I’m walking or just going through my day. Today I got that feeling while sitting and I usually cough to relieve the feeling but it seemed to intensify and I started panicking because I felt like I was going to faint because it made it hard to breathe 😟 and when I closed my eyes it felt like my brains and eyes had a throbbing feeling. I’m not sure if it’s just anxiety or if there’s something wrong medically. I’m really worried ;(

Ps I smoke and I do get breathless pretty fast

Do you think it feels like acid reflux? Or maybe heart palpitations?

Alot of times coughing relieves the heart palpitations

I don’t think it’s acid reflux.. but I did go see my doctor and I did an ECG test. Apparently the doc says it’s normal he only found that my heart rate was a bit high. I did a blood test too and now I’m waiting for mr report. And yes! When I do experience they bubble like feeling, I always cough because it does help! I’m just so confused and hope I can get some response so I know what exactly it is. Thanks for your reply!

Neha277, as you've been diagnosed with anxiety disorder it sounds very much like anxiety but I suggest you should talk to your doctor about this first. Only your doctor can judge whether it's physical or anxiety. We get into the habit of thinking all our symptoms are anxiety but we're human too and we get physical illness just like everybody else. Could be a long-term indigestion thing, whether anxiety or not your doctor will be able to give you something that brings relief. As you've had this feeling for almost 2 years it's unlikely to be anything serious.

Hi Jeff1943! Yes you’re right, it isn’t always anxiety and that’s what gets me so worried. Had an ECG today and the doc says it’s all fine but just an increase in heart rate. It does sound like it’s just anxiety but you can never be too sure. It’s a horrible feeling really and hopefully tomorrow I will find out more as I had other tests done too! Thanks for your reply!

Neha277, of course your heart rate was increased, you were anxious because you were in a medical setting. Just remember the ECG was fine, that's the important thing. I still think it's something to do with your digestion which, whether caused by anxiety or something physical, should be easily treatable with some mild medication. It's your anxiety disorder, your over sensitised nerves, that are making you worry out of all proportion. We all do it here. I hope the other results you get Monday will bring you reassurance and/or some indication of what your symptoms are caused by.

I have been having this for 2 days now and it's scaring the hell out of me! I think its to do with the digestive system from what I've seen online but I think I'll just head to hospital for a check up. Hope you are better?
