Has it happen to anyone your having a great time and bam it hits you, pain and hbp , I can honestly say I have my anxiety well under control I can go on 2 to three months ok then when at least I expect it comes on rapid heartbeat pain and the feeling you want to head to the ER but won't because you don't want to be treated like a crazy person.

Yes, I know that feeling. It’s awful and so hard to control. It makes me feel crazy and like I need to just go to bed to shut my thoughts off. You’re not alone 💐

Hi Luzcristy,

This is a known trick of our illness, your fine for a good while, even thinking you’re fully recovered and back to your old self and then suddenly it hits you out of the blue. For whatever reason it seems to wrap you in a false sense of security before letting loose on you again. I’ve had this many times myself and always try to stay mindful that I still truly accept that I suffer from anxiety, even though I believe my worst days are behind me, and from that we draw less fear from what we truly accept.

Try to visualise your anxiety as an overprotective friend rather than an enemy.

Wishing you well,

Rob
