Dear everyone,
I can't recall the exact sequence of events and i might have left out things.
I have had anxiety and panic attacks for around 10 yrs.
I first started to become aware that i had a problem when i had a temper tantram at work during a meeting with my boss. This suggested that i had anger issues. This brought me to an anger management class in Bromley. Then i decided to start councelling(1 year). My councellor explained that unexpressed anger can cause anxiety. This brought me to my GP for medication: citalopram.
Then followed courses at Citylit( adult education) for 'anger without aggression', 'raising your self estheem' and ' emotional literacy', Then again councelling( 3 months), followed by acupunture.
During this time i have kept up a diary about how i felt on a daily basis. This website has been a great help during lonely nights. I have had great financial support from my parents, have had a very supportive brother and sister and friends.
I have worked very hard on myself for around 6 years.
I now feel that i am getting better.
I hope that this gives hope to others that there is a way out.
warmest regards,
Marcus xxx
