Citalopram!

Hi all!I start de medicine on Saturday,10mg but not feeling better!After a take them 1h before o have a mild panic attack,plus i have pain in my muscle of the heart!I take year befor but didnt have any side effect just 1week depress and one bih panic attack just all!But know is so different:(How is your experience with citralopram??

Hi, Citalopram takes 4-6 weeks to work properly, so you probably won't notice much change in your mood or anxiety until then. One of the initial side effects is actually increased anxiety! But that gradually goes away until (hopefully) you feel less and less anxious.

It also depends on which dose is best for you. I also started on 10mg per day but about 4 months later, my doctor increased my dose to 30mg and that improved my mood so much. I started to feel happy some days and the bad days became less frequent.

However, it makes me very tired so I sleep a lot. That's just my experience though.

Thanxs for reply!I worries just about the pain in the muscle of the heart and sometimes in heart,can be the side effect form citralopram?Last time when i take 2 years before i didn't have bad side effect,after month i was 80%recovery!This time is different;(I can't afford to sleep to much,i have a young girl 2yr old:(she have lot energie she need me and i force my self to be good mom!

I think you should talk to a doctor about how it is giving you pain in your heart. The pain might be directly caused by the citalopram or it could be due to your anxiety. Either way, I think you should get it checked out to make sure there's nothing wrong with your heart

Today i feel better!is the 7 day of citralopram!Last was horribly but today good day!When i have bad panic attack i go to emergency 2 time the make ECG and was fine plus they checks my hart,after to walking center all was fine with the pain in my muscles of heart but this time was plus some needles in my heart and i was again worries!Thu i have appointment to gp!Thanxs a lot
