Citalopram: Hiya everybody, I hope you all... - Anxiety Support
Citalopram
Great job on being so positive! Haven't tried citalopram before so unfortunately I can't help.
Hi Markie I have been on 10mg for almost 2 weeks and I am feeling much better but I will say I got worse before I got better, first 7 to 10 days were pretty rough but tough it out and you will feel better you just have to give them time to do there job,use this site when thongs get tough I found it helped to keep me grounded when I thought I was losing my mind so keep fighting Mark and best of luck with them
Mainly makes the anxiety feel overwhelming at times and also kind of light pins and needles in arms and legs but it does pass and just keep telling yourself that the good days will come just have to get through the down to find the up.dont give up on them mark give them at least two weeks to do their work . This site is a great place when your feeling at your worst lots of support and plenty who understand what your going through
Ok, I've just done 3 months on antitriptyline i feel positive and happy but the anxiety is still very much there and stops me from going shops, train stations etc. So just needs to shift those physycal symptoms and should be fine! Staying positive tho been way too many years now 🙈 Thank you for the info, much appreciated x

I have been on citalopram for years 20mg. about 9 months ago I got really down with polymyalgia rheumatica so was given 40mg, I am on this dose now. it takes time to work, about 6 weeks. sometimes you can feel worse before you feel better. sometimes I wonder if it is still working, but if I reduce the dose, I know that it was. good luck with it. any concerns with it see your doctor. mind you they usually keep an eye on you for the first few months. x
