Heart Skipps
Have you had a cough or did that start after? The skip can be caused by so many things that are completely innocent. Coughing can cause it. Also diet, exercise, caffeine, anxiety. Etc. Has it subsided? Usually a quick skip that you feel is innocent. Sometimes it will hurt or cause a wave of dizziness etc. That small hiccup in flow could perhaps cause you to cough as well. As long as it went away.
Yep. I have had coughs and dizziness in my head. Its a horrible feeling. Do you get it?
Not really coughing I don’t think but the heart palpitations and dizziness are on a regular basis. That’s my normal now a days. Coughing can interrupt your system, palpitations can as well. Both can cause dizziness. I used to cough more but quit smoking and now I rarely do. I have coughed though and seen stars and gotten dizzy. I have regular heart palpitations. I’m trying to quit caffeine. I just haven’t figured out how to quit my morning coffee without killing people. Lol. I found though limiting myself to one cup and then no caffeine helps a lot.
How many skips do you have a day? I get like 20
I used to get that happening too, and it made me cough, but I don't know why. It was often triggered by tiredness, caffeine, drinking red wine the night before, or stress, or all the above. Try to get a good nights sleep, and cut back on caffeine, and try relaxing therapies.
In the words of the song: Zing went the strings of your heart. Are you sure some desirable prospective mate didn't just walk by?
No? Then it's just anxiety causing your heart to skip a beat, a very common symptom of anxiety. Actually your heart doesn't miss a beat but the space between two beats shortens for a moment.
You only get it about 20 times a day? You're lucky, many of us get it 20 times an hour. The cough is a normal reaction to missed beats, not that you need it but it's a reflex action trying to restart your heart.
Two courses are open to you. You can frighten yourself half to death every time it happens which tends to make the missed beats continue.
Or you can just accept it for the moment, accept it calmly and fearlessly and get on with your day knowing it is no threat to your well-being.
The skipped beats soon die of neglect but if they do come back you know how to deal eith them.
