I have suffered Anxiety in disorder form for about year. I now feel I’ve overcome this. Over my journey I’ve always heard that Anxiety and all of its symptoms are harmless. And whilst I agree with this as I’ve made a recovery, other information I’ve come to read lately says otherwise. Anxiety , essentially puts stresses our bodies and persistently elevated stress is of course not good for us. We all know that stress is a killer. I guess that because of my suffering, I’ve possibly now shortened my life span in some form or another?
Thoughts?
Thanks.

Hi Carl. Congrats on your journey and healing! Highly doubt it. If a person's symptoms are truly anxiety/panic and not a serious health issue, it can't kill you or shorten your life. Our bodies are so strong and resilient. It may take months or more to heal but I believe we become stronger mentally and physically. Like they say, "if you read it on the internet, it must be true." Hahaha!
I had the same query. Ive pondered and worried myself lately on that same thing. It has become my newest fear that I will actually stress myself or worry myself to death.
