That could be positional BP changes. Try sitting on the edge of the bed a second then rising slowly. Low blood pressure can also cause you to feel light headed etc when you stand. You could also try putting a couple bricks side by side under the head of your mattress. Definitely discuss this at your next appointment with your doctor. Are you on BP medicine? I thought you may have mentioned that sometime. Maybe not. I have a bad memory.

Okay. I knew (or thought) it was something. Definitely try your positioning. When you lay down raise your head. You can use bricks under your mattress or extra pillows. Sit up a minute then stand slowly. My BP runs low and that is normal for me. They end up rechecking it anyway just to make sure. Drink lots of water. Dehydration can cause it as well. Of course it can just be anxiety but it can’t hurt to try some of these things. I would also mention it to your doctor. Some other meds can also lower your BP like diuretics or nitroglycerin for example. Always better to be safe than sorry. ❤️

Johhny you know when its an anxiety issue when everything else has been ruled out.You tallk of your heart beating fast even when lying down , the vagus nerve is responsible for slowing the heart rate down eg you get a fright adrenaline is released heart rate spikes ,the body cant allow this artificially fast rate to continue as it has a preset rate .Then the vagus nerve will kick in and bring heartrate back down again.it is part of your parasympathetic nervous system. You have bern checked multiple times by multiple cardiologists. If it was positional paroxysm ie you ferl faint with excessive heart rate on standing its only because you have changed position too quickly.?you have worn the 24 hour holter heart rate monitor a d your cardiologist s plural have cleared you .You talk about qui ering underneath the skin, these are caused by excess adrenalne.Adrenaline is released when we are o erly stresssed it causes heart rate to spike. The head pressure you mention is a classic sign of anxiety disorder , as is your hyper attention to every breath you take Johhnie. you suffer panic attacks .and im sure yu have been told time and again so dont play coy here.i think this has become an obsession and im sre by now that you have a physciatrists input ... am i right?? You cant rest until something bad happens to make you right?? Listen to yourself Johnnie. There is nothing wrong with your heart , you dont suffer from Pots ,please dont look it up or youll obsess over that as well.the fact that you can go out at night and remain standing completely rules out the possibility of P.o.t.s When i stand up my bp plunges heart rate soars and i faint e ery time Johnny thats pots so dont even go there. If yor bp was overly low you would be on meds ,this would have been picked up by the 24 hr holter and the many emergency room visits im sure you have attended?? i know this stuff because before i was ill i was a nurse but that doesnt matter here be ause im not diagnosing im just explaining as you asked me to.Everything symptom you have ever talked about on a loop might i add has been and is still anxiety related.god why do i bother?? Youre not listening anyway are you? I bother be ause evn though you could frustrate a saint ,i want you to take your doctors all of them diagnosis and stop ruining your lfe obsessing on the fact that you think they are all wrong even the cardiologist who sort out nuch more than panic attack symptoms so again they know theeir stuff you dont you just know how to google! Stop wating the best years of your life on this ,,,, take the diagnosisses as a given , take your prescribed meds and start to get better because you are not getting better in this bizarre holding pattern that you have set up for yourself .... you do not know more than doctors who have worked in their fields for decades .. you just dont... i dont ... but i can recognise unhealthy thought patterns ,exessive google and the unhelpful and in your case totally unnecessary obsessional behaviour ..Take your meds. Do yoursef a favour ,start to get well ... right johnnie this is your part now ....... !!

Well said Brumchick. I’m a retired Emergency Dept RN . an adrenaline rush coupled with the fact that you spend all day thinking you’re going to die would make anyone fearful..

You need to get up, take a long walk everyday, even if you feel like crap, and increase your activity level. I truly understand the fear when your heart is racing or irregular but you’re fueling it with adrenaline . Unless you’re willing to help yourself, all of our advice is falling on deaf ears. You want someone to diagnose your awful affliction before you die but no one will because it is ALL caused by anxiety.. until you address that FACT, you will not improve!!! You can be your own advocate or you can be your own worse enemy, it’s your choice, only yours.. I wish you well and hope you find the courage and the ‘right therapist” to get you through this. You’re wasting every happy day being miserable 😩. I truly feel badly about that and hope you ACT on it and find true happiness:)

I’m new to having anxiety and panic attacks. I’ve seen a cardiologist and all my tests came back fine. I’ve tried natural alternatives to medications but they’re not working. Now I’m on .25mg of Xanax and my doctor prescribed me some type of very mild medication called Carvedilol to take if my heart starts to pound and race (happened during my last panic attack three weeks ago) I have hardly taken that but the Xanax helps. I’ve had a stressful year which I believe is a major contributing factor as well as hormones. But at this point I bring on my own anxiety without even realizing it! It’s like when you set your alarm clock for 6am every day and eventually you don’t need the alarm clock anymore, because eventually your body knows when to get up. Same with my anxiety. I wake up in the morning and my heart starts k race because I sub consciously think I’ll habe anxiety and then I get it! Mind over matter. I started seeing a therapist the other day and I made an appointment with a Neuropsychologist in March. Hoping it will help! Good luck to you. Sounds like you are obsessing over this.

It’s very normal to do that but try to find a solution instead of dwelling on it. You can’t let it take over.

Hi Johnnie, you can give the cardiologist a call and have receptionist ask your question to him since you were there not long ago. He'll give you the answer so you can calm down and enjoy yourself again!😊

I get anxiety pains since I stopped smoking 15 years ago. Now, Im happy, contented, no worries at all. I don't have any emotional distress but I don't know why I still get the pains.
