Flickering vision

Has anyone ever had like flickering lights in vision like looking up u see flickering lights and looking down u seek flickering or like a shadow under ur eye I been having this a lot lately I already wear glasses am I like dying of a brain tumor I’m like scared

Mariso, doesn't sound at all like a brain tumour to me, I think that's just anxiety whispering things in your ear.

I don't know how old you are but when we get to about 60+ onwards the jelly that fills the centre of our eyes becomes detached from the back of the eye. It's a normal part of ageing and no cause for concern and is called Posterior Vitreous Detachment (PVD). However some of the jelly round the edges continue to stick to the retina and when you look up or down it pulls slightly on the retina causing flashes of light.

Of course you may be too young to have a PVD but either way you should get the back of your eyes examined for reassurance so see your doctor or optician soon as you like. If you live in the London area Moorfields Eye Hospital has a walk-in A&E service open 24/7/365, it's in City Road nearest underground station is Old Street, you'll wait to be seen but you'll get an immediate answer.

Well I’m only 26 and I’m not from London I’m just worried that something bad is happening

Marisol, for your own reassurance if nothing else do see your doctor and ask for a refferal to an eye clinic for an examination to ensure everything is alright. I'm sure it's fine but eyes are so important

Yes I had this yesterday. I was talking to someone looked away a second and as I moved my eyes there was a strange flicker. It felt like my eyes vibrated too. That's the.nest way I can describe it.
