Does anyone take daily vitamins specifically for their anxiety? Have they worked?

Vitamins
I do not but I have heard many people say that they take herbal supplements or vitamins that do help a lot. I can’t recall names. Just be very careful to discuss any vitamins or supplements you try with your doctor prior to taking them. Some have additional vitamins that can affect you negatively or may interact just as prescription medicines. Someone said they were taking something like ashwanga or something similar I can’t remember exactly. You can get it from Amazon or on line. Your doctor can better assist you in choosing what is right for you. If you find anything good let me know. Currently in the process of trying to wean off prescription drugs and going with a more natural approach. Best of luck!
I've been making a habit of taking a fish oil tablet once a day while coming off Sertraline. A few people with anxiety have recommended them so I've given them a go. Im not sure that they have been a significant help (I cant tell much) but they are otherwise supposed to be good for your health. A bit of good old vitamin D from soaking up some sunshine is always helpful too
I've been taking natural vitamin supplements for 40 years because the way food is prepared, stored and frozen can rob it of most its vitamins.
However, I don't think that vits are the magic pill that you take one a day and your anxiety disorder is cured by next Thursday. There are no instant solutions to anxiety other than meds but most people don't want to stay on those for ever. So no alternative to talking therapy and self help methods in books.
There may be a case for taking magnesium supplements which quite a few people here find helpful - and also a vitamin B complex tablet of about 25mg but it must cover all the B vits equally. If for example you only take B6 your body thinks you're not getting enough of the other B vits and you can experience vitamin deficiency so always take the full B complex.
I take B vitamin complex. It seems to help and my Dad was told to take them 40 yrs ago by a pharmacist explaining some of us don't absorb enough in our food and we need to take the supplement. He was feeling stressed out and he swears by them to this day! In Canada they're called Stress tabs and also have vit C in them
Magnesium is a great supplement for anxiety. I use the spray Morning and night - I chose a spray as I already take various supplements as a tablet and your skin absorbs it really well. You could also use Epsom salts in a bath x
There are a number of vitamin and mineral deficiencies which include depression and anxiety amongst their symptoms - if you have one of these then supplementing would help to correct the deficiency and hence stop the anxiety and depression.
However, it would be wise to consult with your GP or a pharmacist before supplementing - there are some vitamins and minerals where you can overdose. There are others, particularly B12 where deficiency (unless due to lack of B12 in your diet - eg because you don't eat any meat/fish/dairy/eggs) is caused by something major going wrong with the mechanism your body uses to extract the vitamin in the gut so a general supplement will not be enough to correct the problem.
I've recently started taking thiamine...VITAMIN B 1.... to help with peripheral neuropathy. by co-incidence it seems to have a calming and at the same time a gentle energising effect (to soon to tell if it's helping neuropathy! ), well one cant have everything and I hoopoe I'm not imagining.
