So I have health anxiety and I believe I've been dealing with some severe heartburn for a few days, but my anxiety brain keeps telling me it's not and that it's a sign of heart attack! The middle of my chest burns pretty bad and I wish that I could just believe that it's heart burn. Instead I am.dwelling on it which is making it worse
Can anyone relate? If so what helps you?

I can relate. Try to tell your anxiety brain that it’s not a heart attack symptom if it’s lasting that many days. And you would have more than just that symptom. I know it’s hard but try and get your mind off it. Also try and focus on foods you’re eating that may cause heartburn and steer clear of them. Hope this helps!
In hindsight my anxiety caused my heartburn to be uncontrollable. I do get it now occasionally and can’t do certain foods but nothing like where it was. Like straight acid and pain and burning up into sternum area. I agree with Kim. I always ask myself...are you dizzy? Sweating? Nauseated? Etc... calms me down.
Ajrea2, drink a Sprite, 7-Up, any beverage with carbonated water in it . It will help you belch and you should start getting relief pretty soon if it is heartburn , this is what works for me 😘
