Can anyone explain why my anxiety/depression symptoms seem to appear at this time of year, more so than any other. Not every year but perhaps every other year. I get the 'wobbliness' and weird headaches with neck and shoulder tension.Generally eases up over the next two or three months.
Winter symptoms?: Can anyone explain why my... - Anxiety Support
Winter symptoms?
When its cold we shake sometime without knowing it and this can cause your body to tense up ! Mine does it i ache alot. Also the sun gives out natural happiness so alot of people feel more depressed this time of year
It could be Seasonal Affective Disorder - symptoms can vary each year. X
I believe I've had replies to my post, but am unable to access them, thank you for taking the time to help. I am inclined to think it may be SAD syndrome and I am getting a light therapy box tomorrow. Hoping you're right and this light therapy helps,I'll let you know. Thanks again. x
Started light therapy, am on day 4.with 2 sessions daily. Having an early session pre 8am, then again around midday. Possibly too early to say for certain if it's helping, (I'm not getting worse) I do feel more positive afterwards, but just the fact that you're doing something to help can be beneficial. I don't know how long before you should know, but I'll continue until something definite happens.
It's a week since I started the "light therapy", and I can say I honestly feel really well, much more positive and a renewed interest in day to day living. My sleep pattern is improving and I am amazed that it has worked so well.Have not felt fearful or anxious and for me it is an answer to my prayers.
