I wanted to check with other anxiety sufferers if when meeting with people (especially new) or getting excited, happy about a situation triggers palpitations, I don't know if it's to do with causing a good impression, normally I am a very social person, but I don't know if I have developed social anxiety. Anybody feels the same?

Yes being happy, nervous, excited, stressed anything can trigger palpitations. I get them when I’m happy or when I am really relaxed.
How do you react to them? For instance if you are with new friends chatting away and they happen, what is your reaction? Do you ignore them or you start worrying? When they happen to me I start panicking and thinking soon will collapse, I might have to call an ambulance and maybe I will die, and that spoils my evening and makes me want to go home.
I usually ignore them now as they have got a lot better, worst was 5 days straight and I had loads. Now I get the odd one or two daily at that now. If in a good mood I don’t have any for weeks. I have learnt to live with them and control them and know they aren’t dangerous and aren’t gonna hurt me way I look at it. I am fine in social situations I work on a till so deal with people daily so that doesn’t bother me and actually don’t notice any physical symptoms when I am with friends and having a good time. It’s more at home on my own I notice stuff.
