I wish we can all get together and just hang out and be supportive of each other.

I called four local #s to see if there was a support group for people with panic and anxiety...NO. But there are groups for support of depression, gambling, anger management etc. It doesn't make sense!

We Have Womens groups/conferences here but it's hard when you don't want people in your home town to know what you're battling.

I am double your age lol and don't care anymore who knows.....if they do not understand that is their problem, if they think it's "silly" then they need to educate themselves. Today it is so out there, even with movie stars, but I do admit when I was young none but my immediate family knew.....I find it hard to believe that with support groups for almost everything, they don't have one here in my city for panic/anxiety.

Yes, you're right. People would never believe I'm going through this if I told them but my immediate family knows like my Mom, Aunts, my Dad only knows half and my Hubby only knows what He sees. I know it's not good to be so secretive and that may be why I have so much anxiety now lol. Never talking about what I have going on inside.

I don't think you are "secretive" you are just careful who you want to know ....so many people just do not understand even in this day and age. My poor husband is around it every day. Some people don't feel comfortable sharing certain things. When I went to CBT classes a few wouldn't say anything about what their main issue was. I still truly believe support groups are a great help, and it seems odd there is one for everything else.
