Iron deficiency
Hello there. Iron deficiency is tested for by a blood test . Usual treatment is by oral tablets (mouth) and can be a course of tablets or a daily top up. The local health centre, your GP, usually monitors your iron quite effectively. Best Wishes.
Pull your bottom eye lid away from your eye and look at the pale skin under your eye , if it doesn't change to pink more or less instantly you're iron deficient. They will give you iron tablets if you are in need.
Blood work and iron pills. My iron was severely low and I had to take 3 pills a day but let me tell you... a couple of days later I felt like I had super powers. So much energy and feeling GREAT. I should really start taking them again. I stopped when I started Zoloft but I'm sure my iron is back to low.
Be careful, don't supplement iron on your own, it's easy to overdose and can be dangerous, always see a doctor.
