Not helping

Does anyone else get worse anxiety from reading people's posts on here? Just curious. I can't seem to follow other people's posts or responses without triggering my anxiety. Guess I'll have to find a different outlet. Idk.

Hi LMCello, I hope you won't leave the forum because of that. I have always kept an open mind to what I read and take away with me. Not everyone is the same in their responses to medication or symptoms. Once you read into someone else's negative issues, it can weigh heavy on your mind and bring out the negative thoughts.

Keep positive when reading posts. We are not doctors and are just relaying our own personal journey with anxiety. Many people including myself have once again gained control of our lives through different choices that we made in living with these issues.

Stay strong, stay positive and stay calm...

Hello

This sometimes can be the case and I am sure you are not on your own feeling this way but the thing is as this is a Community where we come with our anxiety and vent how we feel hoping to get some support no matter what Support group you go on you will get the same , I think it is a matter of as soon as you start to read something that you feel is not going to help you is to move on to any posts that will and I am sure there are some :-)

Only way you could avoid not reading about others issues that may affect us is by staying of the internet and having one to one therapy :-)

Maybe instead of deleting your account take a break and see how much better you feel for it , and of course if you do feel better not been on here then we will be sorry to loose you but respect you have to do whatever it is that improves your anxiety :-)

Take Care x

Thank you all for your kind words. This is the first time I have sought support online so I suppose it just takes some getting used to. I would love to connect with others who are interested in sharing goals and milestones and struggles similar to my own, those who can cheer on themselves and others and encourage those who feel like it's just too hard or feel all alone. I will now start a new post where I will try to start this kind of dialogue. I believe we can help each other if we poke our heads out of our own problems just a little to help someone else in need. What do you think?
