Zoloft: Is 50mg of Zoloft a low dose ? - Anxiety Support
Zoloft
Yes it's a low dose. It's a good starting dosage. Each 2 weeks you can increase the dosage by 50 mg, with your doctors permission up to 200mg. You can also add another antidepressant, which is common and very helpful. For example, welbutrin. It takes about 6 weeks for the full effects to kick in. Zoloft is a great medicine with few side effects.
I heard it's a low doseage and a starting dose. My doctor actually started me at 25 mg and I felt nothing after 4 weeks, so I increased to 50mg. I've been there for about three weeks, I know it's not the full time yet but I've seen little improvement and see myself increasing to maybe 100 or 150 to start feeling better.
I started at 25mg and titrated up to 150mg which I have been at for 2 weeks. My pdoc said that the recommended dose for anxiety is between 150-200mg. She stated lower doses are good for depression. However I have heard People stabilizing on lower doses for anxiety as well so I think it depends on the person. You can always up the dose if 50mg does not seem to work but first give it a full 6-8 weeks.
Hi Sfqueen, Just wondering how you are doing on your medication?
Is everything okay? Can't get through to PM x
I am ok it's the time of the month and this is when my anxiety peak my doctor suggested taking one half more so 75mg instead on 50mg but I have not had the courage to do it
Yep. Low dose. I started at 25mg, then 50,75 and now 100mg. The low dosage didn't do anything to me. I'm hoping 100 does.
