So my cardiologist has switched me from metoprolol 50mg to propranolol 80mg. I've read great reviews on propranolol so I'm hoping this is the right med for me, I'm just a little afraid of the dosage. 80mg seems a bit high to start on, but then again I'm no Dr. so what do I know. Anyone have experience with propranolol?

New meds
I only took 25mg and had banging head the next day and felt spaced out and depressed but not every person is the same
That's strange since it's supposed to help with migraines. But like you said everyone is different. I hate starting new meds! It's been 4 months of trying to find the right one.
Maybes that's why u have the higher dose for migraines. I do know a lot of ppl who take them and are totally fine on them and swear by them so do give them a try. I think I'm just quite sensitive to meds
I feel like I am too that's why I'm afraid to start anything new. So far everything I've tried has had some sort of side effect. I'm just afraid of such a high dose. I don't even have migraines, it was prescribed for palpitations.
Half it if u feel nervous about it cos I halved my tablet from 50 to 25mg. I didn't really have heart palpitations my muscles just tense up really bad with anxiety and I get a choking sensation but think these would be really good for heart palpitations as they slow ya heart down
Do you have any side effects?
I'm taking propranolol 10mg 3 times a day and it seems fine to me. Give it a try. You can always split up the doses and start slow
I think I'll try to split it and see how it goes.
