Side affects

Iv been on citalopram for about 3 and half weeks now first I was taking 10mg then when up to 20mg after my first week the side affects went then they came back again feeling spaced out and light headed anyone else had this?

nathan022, any SSRI does take around 4-6 weeks to reach full efficacy. Having taken an increase will have brought the symptoms back in view until you reach therapeutic dosage.

Try not to fight it but go along with the discomfort for a short time. It will even out.

Hi there I've tooken citalopram in the past and I've also started taking it again and last time to tell you the truth I felt great I've never felt better before but this time while taking it I don't know why but the first two nights I had pannic attacks so I was thinking ok it just needs to kick into my system but after maybe 1 week I just didn't feel right and my anxiety would act up then I was fine and now it's acting up again not trying to make you worry to much but I understand how you feel also when taking meds it can be risky cuz somtimes there are ones that are right for you and there are others that aren't so for example ones that are good maybe you will notice one or two small side affects that aren't bad or even none if your lucky like I was the first time I took it an ones that aren't right you will notice the bad side affects maybe talk to your doctor that put you on citalopram about it see what he/she says hope this is helpful
