Sometimes yes, try to take deep breaths and relax.

Yes

Hello

Yes I have had this often

Anxiety is the activation of your fight or flight system, which pumps adrenaline into your blood stream.

This can cause your breathing to speed up as a result , making you feel short of breath

.Anxiety can also cause you to think too much about your breathing, which makes you breathe inefficiently.

Take Care x

I agree with Lulu.....anxiety tends to play nasty tricks.....sometimes a nice hot bath or shower will help. Try to keep your mind active on other things.

I have anxiety sometimes. I remember when I was ill for a time with a bad cold I couldn't breathe through my nose. This made me feel far more anxious and panicky than usual. I then discovered a nasal spray that really helped. Just thought I'd mention it. What others have said about slow deep breathing really does do the trick within a few minutes. Feeling like you can't breath is a typical symptom of anxiety. Fact is you most certainly can breathe if you concentrate on it for several minutes.
