Lexapro 20mg

Does anyone else take lexapro 20mg ??? I have been on it for three months now I was doing great but I feel. U mood is dropping and I feel anxious and worried at times . In the beginning it helped so much I started at 10 then 15 now 20 I felt I was getting my life back but then lately I feel so blah and unmotivated again

Hi E2013! I have been taking lexapro on and off Since 2003. It has finally pooped out on me as well. I was on 10 for years then 20 for years at one time I went to 25 and 30 but it was too high and I had heart palps and jitters everyday. I am now trying to ween off and went down from 20mg to 10mg 6 weeks ago and let me tell you the withdrawal symptoms are hell! I am still waiting to stabilize on 10mg but I will definitely be weening much slower in the future. It really helped me in the beginning but now it's a nightmare. If can ask your dr to up the dose to 25mg and see what happens. I have heard people on it up to 40mg. Or they can add another mood stabilizer with it such as ability,lamictal,or Wellbutrin. My brother takes lexapro with lamictal and it seems to be working for him. Just be careful if you decide to come off go slow!

Thanks for the response, I will have to ask I never ever have been on medication up until this past summer and it's so annoying having to deal with this I have a daughter so this is hard to deal with

How did u get anxiety? Did u always have it ? Are you from California? My dr mentioned Wellbutrin to me but I didn't know what it was so maybe il have to ask her about it I. NEver took medication prior to this past summer so it bothers me that I have to

I have never been on anything else but lexapro. I went on it cause a therapist I was seeing recommended it to me and said it would help my depression and agitation. I did not go on it for anxiety initially. I had a miscarriage 2 years after having my first daughter and my hormones went crazy and I was having extreme anxiety Nd panic attacks so my doc put me back on the lexapro and it truly saved my life. I just kept taking it as I thought it was helping. However I had noticed weight gain and no energy but I felt was worth it if it kept the anxiety and panicked at bay. Then this past summer it just started not working. Now I am weening down to 10mg from 20mg and am having breakthrough anxiety, heart palps, cold/hot flashes, dizziness. It sucks! I'm from Ohio and I too have a daughter she is 7!

Girl omg yea I had anxiety first but it then got depression from the anxiety I was mad I had anxiety then panic attacks which made me literally feel like I was losing my mind I got it because in July I over drank at a wedding and I blacked out I had so much it messed with my nervous system so next morning I woke up with severe anxiety I thought I was going crazy lexapro helped save me also the last three months I have been on it along with Ativan as needed

I am on setraline I been on it for 3 month last month I been on 37.5 I am probably going to 50mg.. I also love in San Francisco
