Been sent to ENT for a swollen gland.

For a while ive had a swollen gland in my neck under my jaw which aches and feels weird. After going to the doctors twice, he felt it and said it feels hard and doesnt have a clue why its there. Of course, he mentioned cancer since i have no infection!!

I havent felt right in about 2 years with pain everywhere, however i havent lost weight, im always hungry. The only thing i have is bad fatugue that i put down to my thyroid problem.

Is it possible that one swolen gland can equal cancer, and if so what type??

Have you been seen yet at the hospital ? when is the appointment ?

When we have anxiety we always think the worse scenario and 99% of the time we are wrong but we still put ourselves through it

Glands can swell for all different reasons and majority of the time they are not life threatening

I think after 2 years you would have developed some more symptoms but as none of us are qualified on here to diagnose you have done the right thing in seeing the Doctor and letting them refer you , they are just been precocious and doing their job

Try and I know it is not easy but try and ask yourself why should it be your worse scenario of thought rather than it be nothing much at all and until someone tells you different stick with the thought there will be a simple explanation once you have been seen

I havent been yet. I went to the doctor yesterday who is going to refer me on. So im waiting for an appointment. I just think it will be the worst thing possible because ive not felt right for some time.

I guess its just a waiting game

We always do think the worse thing , anyone with anxiety this is a natural reaction

You will be fine , you are are going to be checked out and they will no doubt give you the all clear but if they did find anything they could sort it out and still the outcome would be positive

Once the New Year comes try and chase that appointment because I know no matter what others say anxiety which can also make you feel tired as well as ill will not leave you alone so the sooner you get peace of mind the better

Whats scaring me the most is that i keep getting a weird feeling and pain in the upper left side of my stomach just under my ribs and my bowels have changed.. i get fatigue and with this swollen gland cancer that has spreadseems like the only option
