Hi I started having anxiety about 2 months ago.In the last 3 weeks I have been trying mediation and it works. My symptoms were not visible for the better part of the last 2 weeks but when I stopped it has once again started.

Hi adi8165. I heard that meditation does work, but could you explain the procedures on how to meditate, are how you do it ? I'm really lost.

I practice Mindfulness meditation.I started small with 2 min daily and now I can do for 5 min. Also add yoga to your daily routine

So do you just say encouraging things in your mind, or to yourself and just keep focusing on it ?

In Mindfulness meditation we have to just focus on our breath. If thoughts come and they will just notice them and again bring your focus back to your breath.

I have also been maintaining a daily schedule of jogging and believe me it really helps.I think that everyone should engage in some kind of physical activity which tires our muscles. This is the best way to get adequate sleep also exercising reduces cortisol levels.

Hi adi8165, as they say "if it's not broken, don't fix it". This pertains to you finding a way through meditation to handle your anxiety. I guess you stopped just to check if it was still there :) I hope you go back to meditating and throw in some deep breathing which helps immensely. Good Luck

Hi Today I am feeling great, thanks to meditation and daily jogging and yoga.I think that having anxiety actually been beneficial.I am saying this because before it hit me I was obese and was a binge eater but now I control my food habits and have a daily schedule of exercise.I think everybody should do meditation and yoga.Though the results might not come very fast but they sure are long lasting.
