I have been suffering anxiety for 2 years GAD they call it. I also have Parkinson's which can cause anxiety. Does anyone else suffer from fast breathing 24/7 I am allowed to take diazepam low dose but not too much . I even have it during the night as well. If you have suffered from this how did you get it to stop.

I just noticed your post re breathing. I am on a project developing the use of early warning measures to nip infections in the bud and reduce hospital admissions. When measured my breathing, it was way outside the norm 14-20 a minuite at 28. Since then I have been more conscious of my breathing and try to slow it down and now when I take the rate it is down to 14 a minute. My other negative habit since childhood but not experienced now is holding my breath and eventually heaving a deep sigh. I feel as if I have left the anxiety behind but this seems to indicate I am still on the anxious side of normal.
Hi - I have just checked my breaths it's 26 per minutes at the moment. Just checked again using some control and it was 14. So I can contol it with deep breathing, when less anxious can do 10. Once I stop the control it just speeds up again.
Anxiety came when I was told I had PD March 2015 and has got worse.
You can see that its partners are Corby HealthTrust and Northants.Carers so that confirms my belief that it has not been rolled out further afield from where I LIVE IN nORTHANTS. AND I MAY BE WRONG BUT I THINK THEY ARE STILLL TWEAKING THE RECORDING OF THE FOUR MARKERS:BREATHING RATE, PULSE, TEMP AND URINE TEST ONCE A WEEK BUT MORE OFTEN IF YOU SUSPECT SOMETHING BREWING.
Re anxiety, strange to say, I have always suffered from a nameless anxiety which has interfered with how I functioned and now it has gone. Could be anno domini. When you get to my age you defo. lose one of your skins and don't care what you say or what anyone says to you.
