Shaky hands

Hi. I have always been an anxious person but didn't realise it was a medical condition until about 8 years ago when it for really bad and I went to doctor and got medication and cbt. I have been on citalopram for about 4 years now and the anxiety is mostly under control. However I have recently noticed my hands are very shaky. A couple of other people have commented on it too. I was looking on internet and came across this website and was wondering if the shaky hands is connected to the anxiety?

  • Yes your nervous system is over stimulated

  • Yes, it is anxiety presents in many different ways. I suffered dreadfully with anxiety and my hands used to shake, I really hated it when people noticed because I couldn't help it! When I started getting help (cbt) and accepting the panic when it came, it eventually calmed down, but I did have to retrain my brain ! It can be done, stick with it! Every success to you.
