Hi. I have always been an anxious person but didn't realise it was a medical condition until about 8 years ago when it for really bad and I went to doctor and got medication and cbt. I have been on citalopram for about 4 years now and the anxiety is mostly under control. However I have recently noticed my hands are very shaky. A couple of other people have commented on it too. I was looking on internet and came across this website and was wondering if the shaky hands is connected to the anxiety?

Yes your nervous system is over stimulated
Yes, it is anxiety presents in many different ways. I suffered dreadfully with anxiety and my hands used to shake, I really hated it when people noticed because I couldn't help it! When I started getting help (cbt) and accepting the panic when it came, it eventually calmed down, but I did have to retrain my brain ! It can be done, stick with it! Every success to you.
