I started taking 2.5 of generic Lexapro 4 days ago...I woke up at 2 am this morning shaking like a leaf and have felt nervous and anxious since, even while taking .5 of xanax at 2 am, 8 am and 12 noon... It's now 1 pm and I still don't feel total relief. Do you get side effects that quickly and at such a low dose? I'm terrified something is going to happen to me.

Ssri's can make your anxiety worse at the start, give it a little more time and things should settle over a week or 2. Hope you feel better soon
