Having a heart rate of 80 is average, my heart beat is always between 80-90 even if im resting, sometimes goes to 60.

It is normal don't act worried or scared unless u are having heartache or anything else, you could also go to the doctor make some tests to check that ur heart is perfectly fine..

Depending on your age, check on google the average heart beats if that would help.

Hi apayett24, your heart rate is perfectly fine. The higher your heart rate, the harder your heart has to work. Our heart rate is always fluctuating according to what we are doing physically, our emotions as well as being on medication. Sit back and enjoy that healthy beat :)

I've been having a very low heart rate too. Resting it was about 57 and I started really panicking about it as it went down to 51 a few times! The Dr told me all is fine and to stop monitoring it... I'm trying but it is scary when you see that's an athlete's heart rate and you're not an athlete. Get it checked at the docs and if they say it's good try to believe them 😊

Hi cookiek1tten, the doctor is right, we have to stop monitoring our heart rate and in my case my blood pressure as well. Well at least that's how I use to be. Every time I got a chance, my finger was on a pulse. I finally got a watch that took not only my pulse but blood pressure as well as showing a cardiac strip of the rhythm. (they no longer make that watch). I'm on medication for b/p now and it can go low. For me, that's when I know I need to hydrate. Drinking plenty of water a day helps bring up the volume of blood circulating in our body. You made me laugh when you said we have the athlete's heart rate without being an athlete. :) Your right in saying just get it checked at the doctors. They know best. Take care x
