fear of vomiting and pregnant
Hello
Congratulations first of all
Now I can understand why this would be your worst nightmare but not every women that is pregnant suffers with sickness
Just try and take this as it comes you could be fine , worrying and I know it is not easy when you have such a fear but won't help you or baby
Have you got a midwife yet ?
If not speak with your Doctor about this or if you have the speak with your midwife , they will help and guide you through your pregnancy and fear
They say don't worry till we have to , I know anxiety tells us otherwise but it is so true

O dear and not eating can make you feel sick as well as weak and anxious , so I hope your appointment reassures you and you get back on track as this is a wonderful experience to be bringing another life in the world and I would hate your anxiety to rob you of this
Good Luck to day and hope it will make you feel better x
Ohhhh myyyy gosh!!!! I suffer from the SAME thing!!! I thought I was the only person on the planet!! And when I got pregnant it was all I could think about! Which is why I only had one child! But the good news is I felt totally fine. It was the very first thing I asked my doctor
from i joined health unlocked iv seen loads of people that suffer! alothough before i felt so alone because i honestly thought that i was the only person that was afraind to be sick! its an awful fear to have i feel like i cant do this pregnancy because of it but ino i have to! im so glad to here you where fine fingers crossed i be as lucky!! how many weeks where you when you found out you where pregnant ?
I found out super early! Even before I was due for my period. At my first doctors appt I couldn't hear anything she said about the baby. All I was asking her was about morning sickness. Thy was about 6 weeks. She said if I haven't felt sick then I probably wouldn't. You always hear such horror stories about morning sickness but actually the majority of women I talk to said they felt fine! I pray for you that you will feel good! Can't wait to hear about your journey
Yes I was the same today when I went in!! All I was thinking about was vomiti g and as well all I'm hearing is horror storys!! I just hope it's not to hard on me , iv only known 2 days and I have felt like crap from I found out! Ahh I just can't wait till its over and him/her is here and I can chill!! I'm pretty crampy and my backs sore is that normal?
Yes I was soooo crampy! I kept calling my friend saying I was nauseous and she said it was all in my head bc of my fears! And she was right! Lol
Hi,
Congratuliations.
I suffer from emetophobia too. I'm absolutely petrified of v* and I go through bouts where the fear consumes me. I've found a few things that help though. Firstly, there is a prescription medication called zofran. It's a really strong anti-nausea and they often give it to pregnant women for morning sickness. If you were to experience nausea, I would recommend this. It's been a lifesaver for me in many situations and just knowing I have it makes me feel better! Another thing I would recommend if nausea hits is smelling a lemon. The scent takes away nausea. Also, drinking ginger tea helps and is said to be a natural nausea killer. When I'm anxious about nausea, I find that journaling really helps. Write down the symptoms that you feel. Write down your fears and then try to determine how realistic they are, and rationalize them. Then write down statements that counter act the fears and are reassuring to you. For example, a fear can be: "I'm scared I will be sick." Then write the symptoms you feel. Why are you afraid you will be sick? Symptom: slight nausea. A counter thought can be, "I am not severely nauseaous. There are medications and natural remedies I can take to prevent that from happening, etc."
Anyway, I know how tough it is to have this fear constantly on your mind. Try to distract yourself because the more you think about it, the more it will consume you and the worse you will feel. Hopefully these tips help!
Hi there !! Thanks! I'm so anxious and haven't slept or ate right in 3 days! I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow I'm gonna ask her for zofran! I don't no how many weeks I am exactly but I find out tomorrow! I'm wearing the sickness bands and they seem to be helping a lot! Google is the worst I keep googling and its not telling me what I want to hear😪 I'm gonna get some ginger and stuff to!! Thanks for the tips I'm grateful and willing to try anything !! 😆😆
